Guests are greeted with a complimentary welcome hamper which includes fresh eggs from our Runner ducks, locally made bread and butter and homemade cake. 1 mile from the village of Spreyton which has a Community shop and the award winning Tom Cobley Tavern. The accommodation is part of a Georgian farmhouse, though no longer a working farm. The courtyard is planted -up with roses and shrubs surrounded by traditional buildings, it is a sun trap for the evening sun. The accommodation is approached via stone steps to the first floor into the kitchen/diner - from here you are led into a landing where you can access the separate bathroom, with a large bath, shower and toilet and bidet. Further along the landing there is a good -sized sitting room with three sofas, with a Smart HDR TV, an "Alexa " for music and radio, books and some games, should the weather be inclement! The bedroom is accessed from the sitting room where you will find the "Super king- sized" bed, dressing table, cupboards, chest of drawers, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, book shelves either side of the bed and another TV for those relaxed lazy mornings! Both these rooms look out over the pretty garden. We provide a selection of novels, Devon Life and the Dartmoor magazine together with books on Dartmoor walks and the local OS map for guests to use.
